BSP Advisory Group Pty Ltd is seeking a Graduate or Early Career Accountant to join our Ulladulla, Batemans Bay or Moruya office.

​

If you’ve completed your accounting degree and are a qualified Chartered Accountant or planning to become one, we’d love to hear from you.

About the role

Working alongside experienced accounting and business advisory professionals, you’ll gain practical experience in:

• Preparing financial statements and meeting taxation reporting and lodgment requirements.

• Accounting and operational solutions for small and medium-sized businesses.

• Auditing small and medium-sized entities.

• Understanding clients’ businesses and helping them achieve their goals.

About you

You’ll bring strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn. You’ll enjoy working with others, building client relationships and helping businesses succeed.

An accounting degree is essential, along with an intention to commence or continue your CA studies. Familiarity with cloud-based accounting software is desirable, with Xero experience highly regarded.

About the role

You’ll support small and medium-sized businesses through accounting, taxation and practical business advice. Your work will include preparing and reviewing financial statements, business activity statements and income tax returns, undertaking tax planning and helping clients understand their financial position and opportunities.

You’ll have opportunities to take on greater responsibility, support colleagues and contribute ideas to the firm’s direction.

About you

You’re a qualified accountant with public practice experience and are either a Chartered Accountant or willing to work towards this qualification. You’re interested in future partnership and bring:

• Experience managing client work independently and meeting deadlines.

• Strong accounting and taxation knowledge, including BAS, income tax returns and tax planning.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships.

• Commercial awareness and a practical approach to solving business problems.

• Proficiency in Xero and related cloud-based accounting platforms.

• Initiative, sound judgement and a collaborative approach.

• An interest in mentoring others and developing your leadership capabilities.
